About
Who I Am
I’m Dawn Oates—an advocate, organizer, and mother committed to fighting for disability rights, housing justice, healthcare access, and educational equity. My lived experience as a caregiver drives my work to hold systems accountable and push for change that leaves no one behind.
What I Do
I lead grassroots campaigns, draft legal arguments, build coalitions, and organize families across Massachusetts to challenge discriminatory policies and inaccessible systems. My work spans housing, Medicaid, education, and public access.
Why It Matters
No one should have to fight this hard to be seen, heard, or protected by the systems meant to serve us. I fight because people’s lives—and dignity—depend on it.
